What are the initial signs of an Acidic Body? So, why is being Acidic a bad thing?
When your body becomes more acidic than it should be, your body immediately begins to exhibit symptoms of an imbalance. These symptoms may be considered little things: a runny nose, fatigue, a skin breakout, slight case of irritable bowel syndrome, food allergies, low energy, mild headache and more.
Do you remember having bouts of the above? I do for myself. Especially skin breakouts after I have had a few days of eating badly! Groan... now I know what I have to do. Yeah.
Other symptoms may be: muscular pain, cold hands and feet, Joint pains, heartburn, constipation, diarrhea, white coated tongue, rapid or irregular heartbeat, stuffiness, hyperactivity, dizziness, agitation, bloating and more.

Diet plays a role in the acidity or alkalinity of your body. Diet and exercise along with lifestyle stressors all impact your body. There are foods to avoid and foods to help you move toward Alkalinity.
Avoid these foods as they are Very Acidic: Red Meat, Alcohol, Eggs, Dried Fruit, Sugars and Hard Cheese. Yes, I know, all delicious items that are staples of the Standard American Diet (SAD). Giving these up or eliminating these all together will help so many areas of our health.
Limit these foods as they are Mildly Acidic: Grains, Legumes, Most Nuts, Canola Oil, Fruit Juice, Milk, Soy/Rice Milk. I don't have a problem giving up milk, since I don't like milk, but I do love nuts and legumes.
You can have small amounts of these foods since they are Mildly Alkaline: Tofu, Vegetables, Olive Oil, Goat's Milk, Almonds(YEAH!!!) and buckwheat. Ok, Almonds are good and vegetables are great!
These foods are Alkaline: Soy (Shaklee Soy is processed so it is Alkaline) Vegetables, Real Salt, Sprouts and Garlic. Now I really use the Shaklee Soy Protein and vegetables. So that is good!
